Sari Fabric Skirt

My Dad and step-Mum went on a holiday to Malaysia earlier this year.   I feel very lucky because they brought back some beautiful sari material for me.  I have an afternoon/early evening event coming up and I knew it would be just right to wear something made out of this fabric.

I love long skirts, so it seemed a perfect use to show the material off the most.  Here is the finished product, which I made by using half of the available material, sewing a back seam, folding over a 1/2" hem and folding over 2" at the top to encase the elastic.  A very quick job.

Next job is to find a nice top to wear with it.
